Real organic growth happens when the organization is focused in the most productive areas, when the organization understands the corporation’s objectives, and when the entire organization understands their role in accomplishing those objectives. It begins with a Plan that establishes corporate direction in areas that are likely to produce fruit.

Parker’s assistance to ownership in the integration and performance of acquired growth begins before the business is acquired as businesses are targeted that are likely to be well integrated. These businesses are those that relate well to the client’s core business and strategic direction. By targeting and acquiring consistent with strategic direction, we acquire companies that help the parent organization be successful in current and targeted pursuits (Acquire 2 Win). This creates excitement and motivation to both the acquiring and the acquired entity. The best test of the fit that Parker espouses is the development of an integrated Strategic Plan before acquisitions are finalized. This Plan assists everyone with both organizations understand the fit and their roles and responsibilities in successful integration and performance before the acquisition is completed. As the process and plans are developed and briefed to the entity being acquired, the real cultures become more evidently contrasted, and cultural risks are exposed for consideration and mitigation.
